Green Coating on Ends of Sparker Probes Over Burner ?

Been getting this light-green coating on the probes in the fridge. The probes are sort of brass except for about an inch or so at the ends over the burner where they are lightly coated (no lumps). ...

It is only over the ends where they are in the flames. Flames are proper colour. Is it something in the propane maybe?
