Green Coating on Ends of Sparker Probes Over Burner ?

Been getting this light-green coating on the probes in the fridge. The probes are sort of brass except for about an inch or so at the ends over the burner where they are lightly coated (no lumps). ...

Miles away, but it does maybe go with how copper roofs on buildings go green. Perhaps the part in the flames is more vulnerable to that?
