Green Coating on Ends of Sparker Probes Over Burner ?

Been getting this light-green coating on the probes in the fridge. The probes are sort of brass except for about an inch or so at the ends over the burner where they are lightly coated (no lumps). ...

If it is that oxide, then it says acid gets it off. If that is what it is, I need a spray can of whatever that will do that.

It is hard to get at with a file or anything, and a PITA to pull that assembly out to get at the probes with sandpaper.
