Having the RV Temperature on the web??

I don't have any pets, so I haven't tried the product but I'm aware of these folks:

I have been thinking of setting up an Arduino to handle voltages, amps, temperatures inside the rig and out, and cameras. The video footage would go to a SSD, or perhaps a Synology two drive NAS for long term storage.

Another remote temperature (and humidity) monitoring system is the Sensor Push. Bluetooth to your phone, and with their G1 WiFi Gateway, anywhere you have access to the internet.

I use a pair of them to monitor my freezer & refrigerator temperature.

Acurite is one of the ten models compared in the link two one post above yours.

When we still had our dog, we kept an Acurite Internet hub and two wireless temperature/humidity sensors in the coach, one for interior and one for exterior readings. The hub and cell hotspot were connected to an uninterruptible power supply connected to our coach batteries in case of power loss. Acurite has a free web monitoring service where you can set alarm thresholds to notify you of various factors like out of range temps, loss of sensor signals, etc, by text and/or email. Now we use that setup at our Adirondack cottage to monitor temps during the winter in case the furnace has a problem. It was about $100 with 3 sensors when we bought ours, but I haven't priced one lately.

I am aware of a person in the Boston area years ago who had left her Appt/Town Home for work and came home to find she had lost cooling all day and had two dead pet Bulldogs.

I would feel better being able to monitor temperatures than to rely on having left the A/C on.

If you have an available WiFi connection, a solution that's cheaper than the Marcell and requires no subscription:

As the OP we plan on running the generator to run the A/C but what I'm worried about is having a generator or A/C failure and then temperatures rise quickly in a RV in the hot sun. I just don't trust the generator or A/C that much. It is a brand new Yamaha 3000iSEB and a new RV but things happen. At our house if the A/C would fail it takes a long time for the temp to rise and I'm not worried there. Just in the RV we all know how fast temps rise if now A/C and I don't want to risk the life of our pup.
