Glad you have the problem solved now...
Here's hoping your "dead Batteries" have survived to live another day. I usually don't get much life out of the batteries if they have been discharged below around 50% state of charge (approximately 12.0VDC) and not charged back rather quick...
They will charge back up but don't have the same robust performance they had before they were discharged this low.
After losing a couple of batteries I now watch the DC voltage rather close when camping off the power grid and try to get them all re-charged when they reach the 12.0VDC level.
Sometimes we might get lucky...
