In WV you can dispute a charge on your bank account but the last time I did I had to go to a branch and fill out a plethora of paperwork. Dispute a charge on a credit card? I can either do it online or with a phone call.
I NEVER give Paypal direct access to my bank account number. Everything goes on a charge card, that I can dispute if the item never shows up. I have, in the past 3 months, been having a lot of problems with small things ordered from china that just never show up. Like Customs is perhaps intercepting them and stealing them? LED 4 place voltage meter, that the vendor swore he sent it to me twice. Right now, waiting on some 60 amp gold electrical connectors. I'm thinking either a customs status problem with china by obama, or theft, somewhere along the way. Post office never tells me I have to pay duty or get something cleared by customs.
Either that, or China man is now gaming the system, taking the money, and not shipping anything at all?
Two years ago I used a credit card to fuel my truck and that night I get a text message that $3,000+ had just been charged on the card about 250 miles from where I was staying. While on the phone with Discover another $2,000+ charge at the same store hit the account. They shut the card down and sent me a new card. The thief never ever got near my bank account. You can give your bank account information to whomever but I just don't do it. I only use my bank debit card in two instances...at an ATM to get money (only in WV) or at WalMart to get cash back when I am traveling. Otherwise my debit card resides in the old folder. YMMV
