I had one couple years back for the two generators setup, and yes the generators pull from the extra tank, I don't specifically remember if the added tank had a hose to pull from the bottom. The kit I purchased had the two caps, hoses, and the extra aux tank.
Once hooked up, if running for a long time, you will just need to top off the extra tank. The system itself keeps the generators full (unless you run it completely dry).
