That is interesting about the Honda doing 16a (AC) for however long. It is rated at 13.3 continuous ISTR. I wonder how long it can run at higher than rating.
In some scenarios that might be enough to run a higher amp converter that needs more than 13a doing a Bulk stage, if the Bulk stage isn't too long before the gen drops back to rating. Once Absorption stage starts, with the amps tapering, the demand on the gen falls off, so it could be all about the timing.
My B&S P2200 is rated at 1700 "running" and when I went over that, it immediately did the red light overload and shut down. So no margin above the "running" rating except maybe a "surge" time in seconds. So the Honda being able to stay running at over its 1600 is noteworthy.
