Honda 2200 inverter discontinued??
Has anybody run across a killer close-out price on a pair of Honda 2200 inverter generators? I'm in the market. The replacement 3000 gennie weighs about 130#. Too much for my tired old bod to lug around.

It may be unintentional, but so far, this thread seem to be more about instilling falsehoods rather than facts...- 2200s went around in 2012 yet the Honda Repair shop has them all off the shelf as well as others. If I owned a 2200 I wouldn’t rely in the internet but contact Honda direct or an Authorized Honda Repair facility.
- This recall involves Honda gasoline-powered portable generators with model number EU2000i and serial numbers EAAJ-2260273 through EAAJ-2485025. The generators are black and red in color or have a camouflage design. They measure about 20 inches long by 11 ? inches wide by 16 ? inches tall. "Honda," "EU converter" and the model number 2000i are printed on the side of the generator. "Companion" is printed on the side of some EU2000i models. The serial number is located on the lower right side, rear corner of the generator.

I had one of our 2000s worked on recently at our local Honda repair shop. He showed me a shelf with 2200s that are recalled and waiting for Honda to determine the fix.KD4UPL wrote:

My friend that works at a Honda dealership said they received a "stop sell" from Honda on the 2200 model. He's not sure why since he mainly sells motorcycle. Anyway, they have taken them out of the showroom since receiving the directive from Honda.

Only Honda genset recall I can find is for the EG2800i and EB2800i.
