Have not done that at this point! Do you have a similar problem?
Chris - NinerBikesExplorerFollowing up, did the low oil sensor being replaced fix the oil leak?
- Me_AgainExplorer IIIWell, I bought a crank seal and took it was apart again. Crank seal area was clean and dry as a bone. So must be the low oil sensor on the bottom of the crank case.
Chris - Me_AgainExplorer IIIOnly plastic cases have ever been off it. Carb cleaned a few times. It early model that we have had for years. I will recheck cc vent. I think it is the crank seal, as end was the only wet area. I suppose the case has to be split to change the shaft seal? Chris
- azrvingExplorerNot over filled? Has it had recent work and possibly reassembled incorrectly. I've seen small engines with air filter housing/crankcase vents not breathing correctly resulting in excessive crankcase pressure. It will push oil of of crank seals and even seen it push oil past crankcase cover gaskets.
