Honda EU2000i pulling too much fuel from extended tank

I rigged up a marine tank to extend the run time and the generator is sucking too much fuel since I pulled off the cranky primer bulb and it will actually overfill the on board tank. I got a new prim...

The primer bulb does just that. It has no effect on the natural siphon from one tank to the other. If the Honda tank is over filling, I suspect the supply tank is higher than the generator, AND, there is an air leak in the fitting of the Honda tank.
