You probably don't have a missing ground, the UPS has no way of knowing, but it thinks you have a missing ground. Try the bonding plug. You still won't have a ground, but the UPS will think that you do.
Exactly ... no different than feeding a floating neutral output from any Honda EU series genset to any EMS with open ground detection which interprets that floating neutral as an open ground. G-N bonding the genset output will solve the problem.
