Can I mate my 5 year old EU2000i with a new EU2200i Companion (not purchased yet)? My gen has the parallel connectors. Or do I need to find a EU2000i Companion? Can't find a new one yet, maybe gotta l...

if it's within the defined serial number range honda says yes. And my 2000 I bought in 2010, almost 10 years old is within the range and works well with my 2200
