I have to ask (OK, so I worked as an EE for over 30 years).
What are the take-aways? Usually to get a gain in one area (power say) you have to reduce something else (reliability?, life?)
From a power-load point of view, most people that have "need more power", already have two EU2000i, so a small increase in power is not as attractive as a slight reduction in noise.
Now, actually a 3dB decrease is noise is actually a small decrease, 3dB is half the power NOT half as loud. The human ear being neither linear nor log (dB). In fact most people can just barely detect a 3dB increase or decrease.
As for electric start, not going to happen in the current EU2000 chassis. It would require a battery and a motor (or at least a motor and jacks to a battery). That is why the generators with electric start are larger and heavier then.
I spent my last decades (work) in sound/conversion/measurement area and, when ever we needed lots of power, from a relatively quiet generator, the EU6500 was our choice. When we needed power and real quiet a large bank of batteries and a Xantrex true-sine wave inverter was the answer.
