I have to ask this question. For those of you that suggest Noise reduction, you did notice the noise reduction was at 1/4 load? I understand 1/4 load would be 450 watts (4 amps). Other than maybe lights in your RV, what do you use that runs your generator at 1/4 load?
Good point!
As a reference point, I have a 25 year old four-stroke start-on-first-pull Honda that will also a run lot of stuff in our motorhome. It's sound level is specified (by Honda) to be 54 dB at full power. It's tiny little gentle low frequency thumping sound is not irritating at all (can't hear it at all inside) and it's full power 650 watts can run:
- an electric space heater on low
- a hair dryer on low
- our RV's vacuum sweeper
- our built in coach battery charger
- all of our computers, TVs, phones, etc., at the same time
- all of our interior and exterior lights at the same time
- can get our RV started in an emergency if all three of it's batteries (including the engine battery) should ever be flat at the same time
- an air compressor for inflatable boats, rafts, toys, etc.
- an RV refrigerator in electric mode if one should ever run out of propane out in the middle of nowhere
