That Honda EU3000iS does have an incredible 1/4 load spec of 49dB. I can't locate a portable generator anywhere else with an idle noise spec that low.
Now ... if Honda could only redesign all of it's inverter generators to have a 1/4 load noise spec that low, or lower.
The EU3000iS full power spec of 58dB is even lower than Honda's EU1000i full power spec of 59dB. The EU3000iS seems to be of an all-around more advanced noise design than the rest of their current small generator line.
