For whatever it is worth, my Honda 2000 works well but requires some care -- otherwise the carb needs cleaning. I have to start it every month and run it for a half hour under load. I have to drain the carb after use and before storage (which is easy). I have to add a little Seafoam to every tank. No big deal, but not nothing, either. Not sure if the same care is needed for other gennies.
