Perhaps this is the only way Honda can remain competitive in a market where generators sell for hundreds of dollars less.
Personally, I would consider an improved Honda to be one that is at a price point where I could actually feel good about spending that amount of money.
Rather than lower their price, they add some watts. That's fine. I'm sure the Honda club members will be happy. It doesn't make a convert out of me.
