Hot water heater
We have a suburban SW12DE hot water heater in our fifth wheel trailer. On gas it seems to work as it should. When we put it on electric the water does not get as hot. What could be the problem?

We've never had a problem with the heating element but could it be that it is coated with crud and now as effective? or, could it be that it doesn't work at all and the warm water is what is left over from heating with gas?
