One thing I am concerned about is having my new 6V batteries hooked up and running the shore power at the same time overnight to cool the fridge. It's an older 40 amp Pwer Source PC40 Charger . Power Supply in my TT and some have said that I may have issues with it overcharging my batteries and maybe doing damage since it might be old enough to where it starts to charge but doesn't really know when to stop (it's a 1996 TT).
Any suggestions on this? I am not sure if this will occur or not ... but I am a little worried since this TT is new and I'm not sure how the charger works and with these new batteries costing so much I would Hate to ruin em right before my first trip (and yes I will be purchasing a new progressive dynamic later this year hopefully to replace this, but it will see a few trips with the current unit before that happens).
I was also told it's bad to run shore power without the batteries connected since all lights and appliances should be running off the batteries and the charger/converter should just be putting power back in as its taken out.
Is this a bad thing to run shore power but not have any batteries hooked up?
Would love a little feedback on these couple of questions if possible.
Thanks again guys! :)
