Get a 12 ton bottle jack. Put the trailer where you want it to be and take it straight up.
This answer is interesting -- really. Does it work? Where do you put the bottle jack - before, after or between the tires? Do you use 2? Does it feel unstable? Obviously I would like some more info. thanks
Put the jack under the axle next to or between the ubolts. I do one axle at a time. If you are lifting more than 4 inches you may want to alternate between the axles. Lifting too high can put torque on the pin if its a 5er.
I've seen pix from some guys who made a cradle to go on top of the jack and match the radius curve of the axle.
