How do you prevent hose clamp cuts on flexible wire hose

Rhino Flex is the best thing since sliced bread. It goes from 3 feet to 10 feet just by pulling it apart so it is always the right length, just stretch it to the length you need. It is actually kinda fun to use if that can be said about sewer hose.

Two wraps of electrical splicing tape.

Duct tape.

You don't use steel clamps on sewer hose.
Use 2 large zip ties on each end, 180 deg from each other.. You tighten them w/ 2 pair a plyers, they never leak.

I see you are still using hose clamps... time for a new hose.

Quicksilver is getting hosed this year as well.

I filled my gravity fill fresh water tank and an hour later saw water dripping from the wheel well 3 feet away. Traced it to the hose clamp connection at the exterior filler. Tried to tighten but that made it worse. Removed the clamp and saw a sliced hole in hose. I cut off the section of the slice and reattached and tightened the clamp but it still leaked and cut the hose. The hose is a cheap PVC flexible one with plastic coils instead of metal springs. But because of the hose's spring like exterior, the clamp cuts it. Going to look for another hose today. Will duct tape on the outside prevent clamp cuts?
