scripps institute has this graph of oxygen concentration since about 1985. It does show a decline. how that tracks CO2 levels, don't know. but then there are other things that also exctract oxygen from the air, oxidation of metals, etc. along with animal life. But then processing many ores (iron, aluminum etc.) releases oxygen as well, since the ores tend to be oxides, but it consumes oxygen in the fuel used.

CO2 makes up 400 parts per million (ppm) of the atmosphere. That's 0.00004 percent by the way. O2 is 210,000 ppm (21 percent) so the air's CO2 content isn't going to make a dent in the O2 concentration.

There has been a slight decrease in the O2 content of the air but people are puzzled about what the reason for that could be. It does not have anything to do with burning fuel.

I have planted over 300 broad leaf plants since 2005. Most of those in savannah between the orchard and the river. One thing that concerns me is if rainfall decreases in the Amazon basin, and there is a massive de-off, it will generate more CO2 that man has generated since the time of Lucy. There is more going on than what is being reported. Then there is there is the controversy of efficacy of spreading a hundred thousand tons of colloidal iron on the surface of the south Pacific Ocean. Some say the algae bloom would eventually deplete more than 30% of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Hmmm...

Some scientists are now realizing that they have UNDERESTIMATED the actual amount of CO2 that plants are able to "remove" from the air.

The cold hard facts of reality is it is impossible to stop the NATURAL release of CO2, it comes from VOLCANOS, it comes from NATURAL DECAY of plant material when it dies and falls on the ground, it come from the sea, lakes, rivers (water absorbs and holds CO2 until it is disturbed and so on..

Man does not know for sure how the earth actually works on a long term basis (thousands of years and more), we only GUESS and "hypothesize" going back and forth moving from one "man made emergency" to another..

All the while COSTING the poor and making other extremely wealthy and powerful (AKA Mr Gore and "carbon credit system")..

We (IE "man") does not and cannot "create" anything, we only can use whatever "resources" that are present here on this Earth.

We simply use "elements" (IE resources) found on this Earth as building blocks to make products.. Those products in the end WILL over time eventually revert back to the basic building blocks we started from (IE rust, rot, degrade)..

The "truth" does not "create" wealth and power but LIES do..

Too much cow poop and not enough facts. Numbers of slaughtered animals every year are in the range of 150 billion. In the U.S. alone, it is 9 billion per year.

The internet is the world's largest library. Not all we read is true but the same process applies whether you are using a library or the internet. YOu need to read, research and form an opinion. Opinions for the most part, are pulled out of where the methane from a cow comes from.

By the way, I have planted well over 350 plants in my life time and that is only 60 years. That equates to only 6 plants per year. Big deal.

You mean the CO2 concentration? It varies by time, not too long ago (geologically speaking) it was up to 3000 ppm and the earth didn't melt, it was cooler than it is now. But free Oxygen in the atmosphere didn't exist in the earliest periods. The last theory that I heard about the release of O2 was that blue green algae evolved into existence and emitted O2 as a by product of photosynthesis. This was an absolute disaster for most life on the planet and you have to search in very out of the way places to find remnants of that life--the Archaea. Found in places like the deep ocean 'hot smokers'. So the atmosphere has never been static and there is no golden period that we should spend untold trillions of wealth to maintain.
