Thanks! That's essentially what I want to do. Where did you get that hose with pre-installed fittings or is that just what was there originally? It looks like you installed a new compression fitting to the PEX? I guess can do the same with metal braided residential line.
I was thinking I could just cut the existing hose and slip in a new shutoff valve and crimp it on. On further inspection, I see that a PEX crimp ring won't fit the hose diameter. Attaching the valve directly to the toilet seems like the easiest solution.
