The breakers on the converter are most likely for your AC power, there should also be blade fuses for 12V DC power.
The easiest way to disconnect is to add a battery switch, but you can also remove the ground from the battery. The chassis and house batteries are probably separate unless being charged by the alternator and then there should be an isolation switch of some sort.
You will want to inspect the battery for cracks, if it was dead and it froze the case could crack.
