How to Go From Parks Coax Cable Into HDMI of TV Set

I'm low tech. I just want to take the RV parks coaxial cable that brings in their cable channels to the HDMI plug in on back of my TV set. I'm confused by all the offerings on Amazon, etc that do not appear to do that. They talk about HDMI in/coax out, switching between cameras, recorders, etc.

I just want to plug the parks cable TV into the back of my TV set. I had pictured one cable with a coax on one end and HDMI on the other. I guess it is not that simple; must be some processing involved, etc. Can someone tell me what to order from Amazon?

  • The "normal" way to do this is to plug the park cable into the TV set's antenna input. You need a TV that has a digital tuner that picks up cable channels. I believe most modern TVs have this built in.
  • Hah! Google coax to hdmi and see what you get! Just a bunch of confusing **** that doesn"t appear to do that.
  • I can easily google "coax to hdmi" but being no expert I don't know if that will actually work. Perhaps there's a tutorial about it or something on youtube. Or wait for answers here.
  • I'm no expert either, but I don't think you can do what you're talking about. I think you would have to have either a cable or satellite box to connect the coax to, and then run an HDMI cable from that box to your TV set.

Doesn't your TV set have coax input?
