One thing I've learned with bigger banks is either you have to have a lot of punch or a lot of time to get them back up from 50%. My converter is junk and I'd hate to have to use it with these. My solar controller is 3 stage but I don't have enough panel. I'm not sure you can overload a alternator but can you over heat it from running it under heavy load for too long?
