Dont like that construction.
Corners look like weak spot where water intrusion may get in eventualy..
Rather have one piece fiberglass like Nothern Lite.
Or something like this Ausie rig
https://youtu.be/zb9dMJyfXQM - BillyBob_JimExplorerSo other than some wood blocks in strategic areas, an in house frame, and an extra layer of 1/8" Luan in the sidewalls, they're built from the exact same **** you get from Indiana. Laminated walls pinch rolled and not vac bonded, vinyl wrapped luan faced MDF cabinet frames, Wall framing on wide spacings, so what if they weld both sides of the tube, plenty of others do also. 060 tube is noting special, standard 16 gauge. A lot of hot air IMO but the guy's in the vid are good talkers.
Then they're delivered to the dealer by a contracted transporting company using subcontractors who bebop down the highway at 85mph and care about as much as Joe Blow.
Just no Amish running around like chickens with their heads cut off so maybe a little more care taken in the assembly but not much. RV marketing is the greatest. - bighatnohorseExplorer III left a comment on his YouTube video about one omission: the slide out mechanism and operation is missing.
There are more questions about Arctic Fox slide motors and drive mechanisms than probably any other issue.
Yet the video omits the drive mechanism for the slide.
He needs to make a follow-up video for the slide drive and mount. - TurnThePageExplorerBillyBobJim, you're a pretty good salesman. Those few little features seem to be enough to separate Northwood MFG from most of the rest. They obviously have worked out well. And maybe the fact that it's all mounted on that "made in-house" heavy frame is why it handles the reckless delivery driver so well too. I dunno since I don't have one, and currently am not interested in any of their models.
