Installed a television mount without any drilling into rv

Finally got the rig out of the barn and installed my television wall mount. I didn't want to drill any holes through the cabinet wall in hopes of finding an anchor point so I came up with an idea shown in the photo. The back plywood piece is cut to fit very tight in the cabinet frame and so are the rest of the pieces you see. So the whole unit is held in place by virtue of a partial "box" built inside of another box for lack of a better way to explain it. With the TV installed and pulled out towards the front, you don't see any of the woodwork. Hope this might help someone out!

  • Yes, it was built with the intention of removal. I just don't like buggering up woodwork with screw holes but my biggest concern was the lack of finding any wall "studs". As best as I could feel around for something solid it wasn't going to happen. The front trim panels of the cabinet seemed very strong so that's why I installed those side pieces to transfer the weight to up front. I haven't been down the road yet, but it seems very solid and the wall mount that I purchased is very heavy duty and it locks flat. The floor is pretty solid and when the swivel mount is stowed for travel, almost all of the weight is transferred through the floor.
  • You have X, Y and Z well braced. Seems very sturdy as long as the cabinet it is built inside of is as strong.

Was this built with the intention of being able to one day remove it leaving no marks?
