I have a 150 pure sine wave inverter that I connected to the cig outlet at the TV signal booster to power a 24" LCD TV. Worked OK, except that when the batteries got below 80% charge it would squeal a low voltage alarm.
I finally got tired of that and got the transfer switch smkettner references, and installed the same 150W inverter at the power distribution panel, powering the TV circuit with the transfer switch. I also upgraded the wiring between the power panel and the batteries to #2 from #6 for better charging.
Bonus on using the transfer switch is that both the liv rm TV and bedroom TV are on the same circuit along with the nightstand outlets. The TV is only 65W, so we can charge cell phones, etc at the same time. Parasitic draw from the inverter is very low, so we just leave it on at night after watching TV in bed. Only downside is the fridge is on that circuit, so I have to remember to set the fridge to "gas" before powering the inverter.
Here's my write up with photos on how I installed the inverter and 15A transfer switch.
