Intermittent "F" Code On Norcold

Fridge may run for days, or sometimes 1 day w/ no problem.

But I have to keep an eye on the display for an intermittent F code.
When I relite it, sometimes it stays lit, other times it will run 20 seconds, then back to F code,....sometimes takes take 3 to 5 tries, but it always finally lites,.....till next time it happens.
Yesterday I installed a new igniter (flame sensor, only because it was a cheap trial and error thing to do, but it F coded once then.
Checked voltage at the fridge, no problem. Checked all connections on the control board. Beautiful blue flame.
Any other ideas before I'm thinking a $250 control board mite be the problem ???

Thanks

  • I did pull all the electrical push on connectors and treated them with a drop of WD40 while in the Henderson Nevada Walmart parking lot.
That treatment failed to produce any immediate result. Still "F" on propane.
We found a campground that evening with hookups and ran the fridge on AC. The next day I switched it over to propane and it worked. And has continued to work on propane.
So we're holding our breath until next time.

I've had the same problem with my Norcold. It hasn't done it for a while though.
It has not Failed on AC - only on propane.
I'm thinking it may be a sticky gas valve?

    Thanks
Good thought, except for mine always relighting instantly, but sometimes going out after 20-30 seconds, and have to relite.
    Still thinking.
