But I like the spec sheet. This one interests me. Check out the THD max. The equalization limit is SIXTEEN VOLTS!

The blurb for it by Xantrex says it is modified sine wave. Most things run on that ok, but do confirm for anything you might want to run on the inverter if it does need PSW.

It is the Freedom HF series and is available as 1000 watts with 20 amp charger, 1000 watts with 55 amp charger and 1800 watts with 40 amp charger. It has a built in transfer switch and terminals for direct AC wiring and also GFCI duplex receptacle.

2KW of inverter should be enough to power all your outlets INCLUDING The microwave (Mine does just fine)

For that much inverter you should use not 2 T-105 in series but 4 in a series/parallel arrangement

You will note each Bat-ery pair = 1 12 volt battery (specifically a 4D) Threat them as such.

Oh and though some folks like to split the bank in two and switch between.. I do not, costs you battery life,, just wire the pair as you would a pair of 4D's (in parallel)

AGM Unless there is mounting or access issues that make servicing the batteries difficult... I recommend against AGM.. Too pricy no benefit in most cases.

If you got an inverter/charger that is properly installed you would indeed have the convenience of the inverter and also a way better charger for your new batteries than the 7300 is.

Also, an installed inverter charger is more convenient than the method of using your shore cable and having to shut off the converter etc. (The 7300 does not have a switch or plug in and its circuit breaker is probably shared with some outlets, so its CB is no good as the switch, meaning a change in that wiring is needed)

While many of us do it that way with the shore power cord, it requires remembering what steps to take each time and doing those things. It is cheaper that way, but not everybody wants to do all that.

If the budget allows and convenience is desired, IMO go for the inverter/charger professionally installed and then let the automatic transfer switches do it all for you.

7300 is going to be a very slow charge. As part of your makeover I recommend a Progressive dynamics 4655 replacement converter.
