Inverter only runs when when generator runs or shore power.

Greetings,

Just bought a class A and the only time the 12 volt system runs is when I am plugged into shore power or I run the gen. I know there are switches that cut off your house from the coach.

Here is my question... Should they work without being plugged in to shore power or running the gen? My thought is that you should be able to run the inverter off the batteries when driving and not have to run the gen unless your cooking or running the air?

Anyones thoughts??

Thanks, Mike
