Is it normal for the PD pendant to be on when not charging
The charging pendant for my PD 9245 goes to rapid flash when the shore power and the generator are off. Is this normal?

It's not eight feet, at least not on the pendant that came with mine; it's more like five or six feet. I had to extend it with some additional wire spliced in. A two line (four wire) phone extension cord would probably also work just fine if you didn't want to splice wires. A normal single line phone extension cord would not work.
