Is naphtha really needed for removing Proflex?

I found a 32 oz. bottle of Coleman camping fuel at a store that sells camping supplies. It's 100 percent naphtha. The small containers of lighter fluid cost too much for the amount you get, but I have no idea how much naphtha is needed during a recaulking project.
