ok, that makes sense as far as not showing charge until it is putting energy into the battery. I need to dig into it all again as I just got used to it working for the last years. The solar system was always on top of things when I had a 4 pack, now with a six pack and a resi frig it's just a helper. I do love seeing 12.5 or 12.4 in the am but I do need another bank of panels to get the solar on top of things again. Thanks for your help.
If your daily AH usage has not changed then it doesn't make any diff if you now have 6 instead of 4 batts for how much solar you need.
Having 6 does:
A. let you go longer without solar input, and
B. let you run the high amp draws with less voltage drop, which means staying above the inverter low voltage alarm setting better
