Aren't batteries wonderful :)
Just when you think you've got them figured out, along comes another twist, tweak, or banana peel on the sidewalk.
Energy is voltage + amperage. So a device that stores an equal amount of amp hours at a higher voltage is holding more energy.
I don't think performance is the main stickler between slosh and AGM. It is the cost of the battery and from there a lot of the finer points are exaggerations or attempts to twist arms or legs (or wallets). Neither battery type is ideal given all considerations. Trying to figure out how much capacity a sealed battery has lost is not easy. Some felt terminal washers and corrosion spray and battery terminal corrosion is lessened. The argument is like a bunch of Republicans trying to sway a bunch of arguing Democrats.
What I can offer is this: Paying a 300% premium for an absorbed glass mat battery means a battery buyer does not like something about a flooded battery that others think is too trivial to pay the 300% premium.
Now how does a person trying and work around that one?
