I have had corrosion issues with my factory Delco's in my duramax .
I repeatedly cleaned my truck batteries but I still lost the corrosion battle with my metal battery trays .
Ultimately I removed the trays and used the electrolysis method to get them to bare metal so I could repaint them with Rust-Oleum .
I installed 2 exide edge AGM group 78 batteries that I paid $ 140 each at BiMart .
It resolved my corrosion issues in my pickup truck .
It was not a 300% premium over conventional flooded .
I use jumper cables in the campground to run my TT off of the 2 truck batts and the 2 RV batts .
I do not charge the RV batts with solar or genny .
I only allow the jumper cable hookup to equalize all 4 batteries .
Exide claims the Edge AGM's recharge faster than conventional .
So MexicoWanderer my question is : Is that fast recharge claim by Exide a valid point ?
Is there a reason to not hook up 2 Edge AGM's and 2 conventional flooded RV batts or GC2 batts for the RV ?
I almost never use my trailer with 120V hookups at a campground .
Will the Edge AGM batts or the conventional flooded batteries fail prematurely due to the 2 different construction / recharge cycles mostly with the TV alternator as a primary charge system ?
Assuming edge agm's in the pickup would the trailer batts be better if they were also edge agm's ?
