Is there a way for you to daily give it a 15.3V finishing charge?
Yes, I can program my solar for any realistic voltage for acceptance or float.
Right now both are at 14.4V as I am only cycling the AGM to better get acquainted with its voltage under various loads. So far I cannot notice any degrading to voltage under the same amp hours removed with only solar returning the Amp hours. In fact tonight it seems to be holding even more, but today was a hot one.
When I go back to cycling the 31, I'll set float/Finish at 15.3v and see how SG does after 2 weeks of cycling. The last four days, the 31 has just been cranking my engine, and accepting very little from the alternator afterwards.
About topping of AGMs, I spoke with an Odyssey engineer at some length and he said if the 40% rate is not met and 14.7v is not held for 4 hours on their deeply cycled batteries, then it was still possibly to fully charge it by taking voltages up into the 16v range at very low amperages. That the vents were not going to open as long as the amperage was low.
I've noticed My AGM pretty much eventually stops taking current at 14.4v. Not sure how much more it would take if I bumped voltage up higher in an AGM closely monitored 'eq' cycle
