As far as I know, DISH is the only TV carrier that gives subscribers the option of dropping the local OTA stations from their paid programming with a monthly rate reduction. With an available OTA adapter and antenna connected to your DISH receiver, you still get the locals in your program guide, and can record them with the DVR function if equipped.
