Lance 1172: Some interior lights work, others don't.

I've got a 2022 Lance 1172. I have power for most components from 12v and shore power except for the following: hood light, the hood vent, the galley light, bed room light, bathroom light, dinette slide out.

I looked up the wiring diagram (attached) and they all seem to come from the same circuit. I traced it to the distribution panel but all the fuses appear to be good. I put a multimeter on each fuse on the continuous ohm setting and I get a beep on all of them. Is there another fuse I should be checking that I don't know about?

The interesting thing is that the hood vent/fan, galley light, hallway light, and bedroom light were working recently but not anymore. The 12v battery is fully charged at 14v and of course shore power should be more than enough power.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • The common point of failure for all these is (are) the ground(s). Check there.

All the ground bars looked good. Everything was tight.

Pulled the 15A fuse again to inspect it and it looked fine so I put it back.

Checked the blue/white cable that's called out in the manual and tightened the wire nut for it. One of those two things did the trick.

Probably the wire nut. Wire nuts are a poor choice in mobile applications. Might want to substitute crimp connectors that won't vibrate loose.
