No it should NOT. But the main thing you posted was it is an LCI system. LCI is the Big Daddy in RV suppliers now, and their failure rate is extremely high on a multitude of products. Stabilizer Jacks/motors and switches and the regular front jack on the A frame of a regular towable have motor failures. Your Motor is defective and the dealer will replace under warranty. Doug
