Landing gear motor fuse blowing

Had a question:
Is it normal for the 25 amp fuse to blow immediately when hitting
the stops on the LCI landing gear?

I know I can just put a breaker in line for convenience.
Something doesn't seem right with the motor.
Sounds like it's running kind of weak to me.

Our old fifth wheel would just stop and grunt on the stops.
It never blew the fuse in 14 years.

Our unit is still under warranty.

Shouldn't be 'hitting the stops'.......that may be why your motor is struggling and blowing fuse.

    Thanx for the response.

    I tried a 30 amp...same result.
The motor has always seemed slow and weak.
I thought it being quiet was because it was new.

Be advised I'm not just operating the jack motor into a jam due to inexperience.
The jacks were being retracted last week hit the up stop and pop goes the fuse.
Now the fuse blows at the slightest bump of the stop.
The motor seems to have a hard time when raising the unit above say about a third of the total extension.

I think the motor is defective.
Trailer goes in this week for a slide seal anyway.
The garage can have a look.

    From your link....
    WARNING!
DO NOT OVER EXTEND NOR OVER RETRACT ELECTRIC LANDING GEAR. OVER EXTENDING THE LANDING GEAR MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE DRIVE SHAFT PUTTING THE UNIT IN AN UNSAFE CONDITION AND WILL NOT BE COVERED BY LCI LIMITED WARRANTY

    Also note....
    POWER OPERATION
Prior to operation, be sure battery is fully charged. Low voltage may result in damage to the electrical portion of the system

Check if that 25A fuse is correct size.
