Depends on what you want to do. After inspecting mine, I ordered new ones. Many different opinions on what to do. Chalk or get new. I pulled the whole thing because I wanted to make sure there was no water damage.
Basic overview of what I did.
Pull trim ring, try to get a feel for where water is coming in at. Get on top and look at skylight. You might be able to see one or more of the following. Cracked chalk or cracked skylight or maybe both. My skylights said to use SB140 chalk. Which I didn't like to use. Dicor much easier to work with imo. I called skylight manufacture and they said dicor is OK but many people don't put on enough and don't put on right dicor. I also have a strange size of skylight. My dealer to order said 2 to 3 weeks. I just went with next larger size that was commonly available. Total process took better part of the day.
After you pull trim ring, strap up or somehow get a fan in there to dry things out. Even if you don't have much insulation. With lots of insulation (I have about 4 inches worth) pull out any that is flat from being wet and stick in new. If you have foam insulation, no need to pull out, just dry.
