I have cleaned and re-installed the pump. After talking with several knowledgable people, I filled and purged the tank with trans/hydraulic fluid. After all, it is a hydraulic pump operating a hydraulic cylinder and originally had hydraulic fluid.
When I attempted to operate the slide, I found that the "In" button sends the room out and the "Out" button send the room in. Obviously I reversed the hoses. The suprise is the room now moves in and out TWICE as fast as before. AND the amp draw is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced (45-53 amps). A simple reversing of the wires fixed the switch operation.
So what makes it operate faster? Reversing the hoses or clean fluid? Will the hose reversal damage the pump or is it fixing an existing problem?
