I have had this same problem with the same Lippert pump on my 2003 Cedar Creek (Forest River). The first time I had the problem, I removed the reservoir (as shown in the photos). I cleaned out the sludge and cleaned the O-Ring, reassemblied and filled with ATF. It worked well for about 2 years but is now leaking around the O-Ring again. I contacted Lippert a few years back and was told that they had no replacement O-Rings or parts.
My question is does anyone have a number or link or way to contact Lippert to determine if I am covered under the recall?
The next question is, assuming I am not covered under the recall, does anyone have a better fix than cleaning and reassembly. I considered a sealer such as Permatex or Silicone (in the area of the O-Ring) but would like to be able to get it apart in the future, if needed. Any suggestions in this area?
