1. Lippert Phone tech service is horrible. You can always get more than 1 answer to the same problem depending on who you talk too
2. Lippert has always used ATF. What confuses people is, like HWH jacks, Lippert uses ATF, WITHOUT the red dye and that makes the fluid gold/clear which leads people to think that the fluid is HYDRAULIC not ATF. You can mix red ATF with Clear. You CANNOT mix ATF with real Hydraulic fluid.
3. There is NO REAL Lippert recall. What Lippert had years ago was a 5 year warranty on the Pump system that dated from the OEM's BUILD date, NOT the retail date. MOST of those 5 year warranties are gone now as Lippert stopped that about 4 years ago and the unbits sold are past the 5 year BUILD date. Doug
