Hopefully this will add a little info to this thread. I have the same problem with the leaking O-ring. I replaced it this morning and it doesn't seem to have any leaks yet, mainly this is to say where I got the ring and how much it cost.
Thanks to some of the earlier posts, I saw that I would need a #348 Buna-N O-Ring, 70A Durometer.
I was able to go online and find Global O-ring and Seal, based in Houston, Tx. They have the rings for $5 and you can order them online. Item #QN70348

If it blows out anytime soon I will post and complain :-)
Sure enough, it started leaking again a few weeks later. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I took it apart and applied the Permatex. It started leaking after a few months also. I ended up buying a new Lippert Pump from Dyers RV for about $325 just because I got tired of wiping ATF out of the bottom of my front storage compartment. Seems to work fine so far.
