If you are not going to run the A/C I'd consider covering the rig with a Sunshield tarp silver side up just slightly larger than the roof dimensions or even larger if you want to cover up some windows and leave them cracked. In the off season my wife and I fold it up accordian style (think sailboat sail) and pack it away. Haul the whole thing up onto the roof and unfold it for storage. We've used these tarps for all the years we have had our RV.
