We replaced all of our incandescents with LEDs and used flatpanels throughout with the exception of a few cobb style LEDs we purchased locally at a major truck stop.
Our Iota converter bulk charges at 14.8Vdc and these cobb style LEDs only lasted 2 years before they started acting weird, they did contain regulators that obviously didn't like the higher charging voltage of our converter.
On the other hand, the 14 flatpanel LEDs we purchased have worked flawlessly without a single failure over the last 3 years and they do not contain a voltage regulator and cost 1/5 of what I paid for the cobb style LEDs I purchased locally.
